Osage Veneers vosa004
An awesome wood coming from the good old USA, Osage has been used in self and primitive bows for centuries. Somewhat difficult to find in lumber form and typically air dried, it works great for both wood veneers and risers. Fresh cut Osage is brilliant yellow that will turn an auburn orange to brown color when exposed to UV light. Osage glues well, is very strong and stable and is easy to work. It can often be found with decent figure.
